Campbell River is a city of flowers and salmon on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island. It has proud literary, environmental, industrial, and maritime heritages, and an uncertain future. This project of the Campbell River Arts Council records visions of how the arts can unite those heritages into renewed strength.

Harold Rhenisch has published 23 books since 1982. The Wolves at Evelyn: Journeys Through a Dark Century won the 2007 George Ryga Prize for Social Responsibility in British Columbia Literature.
